Garden cosmos/Yellow cosmos

These humble summer flowers, which constitute a mix of Garden cosmos and Orange cosmos, are gorgeous and do wonders for any bouquet or flowerbed. This Cosmos variety is called Feng Shui. It is important to use fertiliser sparingly in order to maintain a high flower to leaf ratio. Trim away any wilted flowers as you go. Pre-cultivating is recommended for early blooming.

Sow the seeds sparsely in moist soil. Maintain high moisture in the soil and keep it at room temperature. Once risen, store in a well-lit and slightly cooler environment. Once the plants are big enough to handle, place one per pot in fertilised soil. Soften the plants prior to replanting outdoors, and do so once the last frost has passed.

Water the surface prior to sowing and keep the soil moist until the seeds have sprouted.
